Et Stellae Cadent - Season 1, "Solar Flare"

I mean, folks, read the title. One more time for good measure. John Doe – yes, that John Doe – has changed his base of operations. This time, though, I think he’s made what may possibly be the last mistake he’ll ever make. While no one has been able to figure out the exact location, when he escaped the heroes this time (poor Freezerburn, he tried so hard!) his data trail led right into her territory.

Now, a refresher for folks that are just joining us- John Doe traffics any species he can get his hands on, sophont or not. He also has a pretty extensive web of contacts and is overall a squirrelly bastard who has been a thorn in Atoll’s side for the last fifteen years. It’s a mess. He has escaped so many Atoll Heroes, it’s almost impressive. Except it’s not, it’s really not. Because the longer he’s able to do what he does, the more people get hurt.

Except now, now he’s moved into the territory of one of the most controversial figures in the universe.

Gwendolyn.

Likewise, because of our recent member boost, I’m gonna give folks as quick a refresher about her as possible.

Gwendolyn is one of those figures who can’t be properly slotted into a hero or villain role, something that many hate about her. On the one hand, there’s no denying the deaths at her hands or the chaos and carnage that she’s wrought. On the other, however, she’s cut villain rampages short. Either via death or by handing them over to local Atoll Heroes. So! She may just be the end of the line for John Doe – he fits the profile of some of the other villains she’s removed over the years, and something seems to have agitated her recently.

Still, we won’t know until something happens, so I guess it’s just a waiting game.
